Every second counts
▒ Prolog
▒ Zeichnungen
▒ Adam 1,2
↗ britishmuseum.org

Dürer's Adam and Eve
Albrecht Dürer's engraving 'Adam and Eve' is one of the artist's best-known and most famous works. The period leading up to the completion of the work was marked by numerous sketches, some of which were inspired by antiquity. This website looks at the various preparatory sketches and then focuses on the engraving itself. The final section of the exhibition looks at the development of the Adam and Eve motif in the form of an oversized oil painting.
"Design meets History" is a curated collection of high-quality website templates that seamlessly blend the languages of art and web design. Each template draws on a chapter of art history – the fleeting light of Impressionism, the bold geometry of the modern avant-garde, the unadorned modernity of everyday life – and translates it into a handcrafted, fully responsive Wix Studio design. The layouts have been meticulously handcrafted, resulting in a visually original aesthetic. Each scene and short film was created exclusively using text-based templates, generated rather than painted, as a tribute to art movements, rather than a mere imitation of a single work. The result is a series of vibrant galleries in which a boulevard, a dance or a colour field can be slowly deciphered, detail by detail – just as one would study a canvas. The collection consists of four templates: 'Visual Storytelling', 'Five Impressionist Genres', 'Art Movements / AI' and 'Art into Life' – a constructivist study. We are pleased to announce the release of 'Visual Storytelling' and 'Art Movements / AI' on the Wix Studio Marketplace. The remaining templates are currently undergoing final testing and will be available shortly. The concept is clear: a website can embody the depth, atmosphere and craftsmanship of art history, reinterpreted as design.
